Upgrade components
Upgrade components are items that can be inserted into armor, weapons, trinkets, and gathering tools to provide a bonus or extra effect while the equipment is being utilized. They can be purchased from players or vendors looted, or gotten as rewards, or created by crafting materials. Upgrade items can be cosmetic effects in addition to providing attribute bonuses.
Infusions, inscriptions, as well as enhancements are a type of upgrade components. They aren't generally available for general use, and they are only available to ascending equipment or certain non-ascended weapons from the Factions campaign. Infusions can be recovered, inscriptions and enrichments from equipment using an Infusion Extractor Device, or by salvaging with a Black Lion Salvage Kit, or an Ascended Salvage Tool.
Phoenix Boxes unlike other upgrade products can be exchanged and reused while still attached to an item that is being upgraded. These upgrade items can be used to increase the quality of armor and weapon without the expense of Dilithium. They can double the chance that the item will receive a high-quality upgrade.
A component that is upgraded within an item can be replaced with a different one however, it will destroy the original one (except for upgrades to legendaries and equipment with ascended levels). Only upgraded items that have an identification level of 0 or higher can include upgrade components them. Adding an upgrade to an item that is already equipped with a suffix or prefix upgrade will display the name of the resulting item as it would appear in game (for instance adding the Radiant Insignia to Canthan Armor will cause it to be referred to as Canthan Armor of Minor Vigor). A player can have up to three upgrade items at once.

Glyphs
Glyphs can be a great accessory to any item. They provide unique benefits and boosts. Some glyphs can also increase the number of affixes attached to an item, thereby increasing its overall power. These glyphs are acquired through working through dungeons. Some are even located in specific World Tier 3 zones. It is important to keep in mind that glyphs can only be used by players who have created a dungeon that has the same level of depth.
To make use of a Glyph you must first create it using components, and then connect them via anchors. The component will then automatically align with other components or paths within the same layer. If you don't want create the glyph using components, you can build it by using a combination of paths and anchors. Drag an element close to an element highlighted to lock it in place.
Certain glyphs require specific conditions to be fulfilled for example, 25 Dexterity in a specific area on the Paragon Board. Certain glyphs require a certain number of Primary Stat Nodes to be activated, which may be a challenge to attain. Some glyphs have a radius that increases as you move up.
Glyphs can be applied to various weapons and items, with the exception for those belonging to a particular class. Certain glyphs have conditional requirements, such as having a certain number of damage from Dexterity or Attack in a particular area on the Paragon board.
The Defend Glyph boosts the probability of preventing enemy attacks by five percent. It also has 15% chance to make the Hero vulnerable for 2 turns.
Some glyphs may also be applied to restricted tools, such as the Black Lion Chest and Trading Post. These glyphs contribute to the Combat Mechanic Achievement.
The most commonly used glyphs in the game are the attack ones which boost Artifacts' ATK substats by a fixed amount. These glyphs are especially beneficial for classes that use weapons that are ranged, like Warriors or Rogues. Other glyphs include the Exploit Glyph, which makes enemies who strike the Hero susceptible to damage.
Reroll tokens
Reroll tokens are special tokens that can be used to reroll one of the results rolled while taking an Action. They are destroyed after the reroll has occurred. Reroll tokens are accessible in many ways, such as through dungeons and raids, or through participating in skirmishes. They can also be purchased at the store or purchased from other players. They are especially useful in dungeons or trials because they allow players to play a reroll of rewards of the final chest.
For items at the level 1 there are recycling points. The upgrade gauge will increase by a certain amount of points when you recycle an item. This number is determined by the rarity of the item as well as its level. The upgraded item will not be able to keep its level when it is rerolled, and the cost of recycling an upgraded item rises as its level rises.
The player may also use reroll tokens in order to reroll an item. However it won't restore the item's original stats, or level. Casesgg is a great option for those who want to reroll an item or piece of equipment that they don't love but want to keep in their collection.
Three types of upgrade coins are available in the game - the reroll, the randomly generated, and upgrade. Each type has a few subtypes. For instance, tokens that reroll are available in three levels: rare, enhanced and legendary. Each level requires an item from the level to create the new item of that quality.
To use rerolling tokens, select "Reroll Token" by right-clicking the Satanic or Angelic items in your inventory. Then, choose a type of token. The tokens that are available are Item Weapons, Misc, 1hguns, 2hguns, and Focus. The use of an Item token will result in a new Item of any type. A Weapon or Misc token will create a brand new weapon from the same faction.
There is also a chance that the item will be upgraded into a new item that has a higher level and the same extra stats. This could occur if the item been placed in the Non-Droppable Pool or if it was transferred to the pool as part of the franchise card.
